Mark Shermeyer founded SAA Architects, an architectural, planning and interior design firm, in 1996. To a great extent, the success SAA has achieved through the years can be credited to the collaborative methodology in which projects are collectively defined, evaluated and developed. The care and concern that goes into each project has allowed SAA to build a reputation for an unusually high level of partner/ client interaction. This commitment to availability has created an atmosphere of responsiveness throughout the firm.

We collaborate with external consulting engineers on all projects, believing that we can build the best team for a project by matching its requirements with the best-demonstrated engineering experience and skill. Through the relationships that have been built with our engineering partners, we ensure that the spaces we create are not only aesthetically pleasing, but perform extraordinarily as well.

As the firm has grown, our interest in environmentally sensible building practices has continued to evolve. As a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), we strive to educate ourselves and collaborate with our engineering partners on ways that we can work together towards environmental responsibility.
